The 1.53 carat, Natural Sphene has vivid saturation and excellent clarity with no visible inclusions and is a fiery golden-yellow color! Photos are taken under professional lighting and are magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. The ring is clearly hallmarked 14K on the inside of the 2.00mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 4.00mm from the finger.

Sphene is a collector’s gem and is particularly rare. Sphene, also known as Titanite, has rich body colors, strong trichroism, and fire that exceeds diamond. Sphene is one of those magical gems that can really enchant you—the best faceted examples display brilliant fire and flash three different colors. Sphene's relatively low hardness (5 to 5.5) and distinct gemological properties make it a desirable piece for collectors as well as adventurous jewelry enthusiasts. Although softer than many popular gems, sphenes can make wonderful jewelry if set and maintained properly. Its double refraction enables the light that travels through the gem to be split into two directions, creating an exceptional array of colors.

**Currently a size 6 ½ but could be sized, free of charge, by my master jeweler so that it is ready to be gifted or worn upon arrival! Most rings can be sized a maximum of 3-4 sizes up or down depending on the style of the ring. Please indicate your desired size at checkout and allow up to 10 business days for my local expert jeweler to complete sizing. I do not accept returns on items that have been custom sized or altered at your request so if you are unsure about an item, it may be best to have it sized by your local jeweler just in case.
